Tim Hamilton is Owner and CEO of Apex Appraisal Service, a leading appraisal management company located in Roseville, CA. Since Apex’s inception in 2009, Tim has overseen staff growth by 183% to accommodate a larger portfolio of clients and create career opportunities for job-seekers. Within eight years, Tim has established licensing in 46 States and is on track to acquire a national footprint in all 50 States.
Known for his belief in commitment and loyalty, Tim has developed and maintained exceptional relationships with the clients he serves and continues to be influential in his business and community. Tim has a respected reputation that yields organic business opportunities locally and nationally. Tim is passionate about humanitarian and social drives and is a key contributor in efforts to support local and national non-profit charities such as Families for Children and Taylor House.
Before Apex Appraisal, he worked as a Certified Appraiser for 17 years where he gained first-hand experience in the home valuation process. He has been in the fast-paced restaurant business for 25 years, which taught him excellent customer service and hard work.
Tim resides in Roseville, California, with his wife Cathy, and has four children. He enjoys spending all of his time with his family.
COO and National Sales Director
Gabriel Hern is Chief Operating Officer and National Sales Director. Since joining Apex Appraisal Service in 2016, Gabriel has spearheaded numerous initiatives including: Developing B2B Sales and Marketing Strategies, Social Media and Technology Integration, National Lender Acquisition and Client Satisfaction.
With a history of driving successful sales initiatives, Gabriel has developed long-term relationships with clients he acquires, believing in client retention as opposed to churn and burn tactics. Committed to knowledge, excellence, and service, his approach is to educate the clients he does business with. Gabriel has a huge heart for charities and is actively involved in his community and poverty alleviation, volunteering his extra time at Living Water International.
Before Apex Appraisal, Gabriel was a Broker and Mortgage Business Owner and has over a decade of experience in the mortgage industry. He resides in Roseville, CA, with his wife and 5 rambunctious children. Gabriel and his family enjoy spending their time going on adventures, traveling, and attending sporting events.
Vice President of Business Development
Dave Houseman brings vision, dedication and industry expertise to Apex as the Vice President of Business Development. He is excited about the opportunity to expand the successful client-driven business model at Apex by providing a mixture of strategic direction with a sense of urgency and attention to detail. Dave has been in management for over 35 years, and his list of accomplishments is only out-matched by his generosity and larger than life personality.
Before joining Apex, Dave had a proven track record in the appraisal industry managing, creating and implementing results-oriented processes and procedures. Dave worked for over 6 years at Pinnacle Capital Mortgage and due to his success, when Pinnacle merged with Finance of America (FAM) they asked him to oversee and grow their appraisal department.
He chose to join Apex because out of the 21 AMC’s that he worked with at FAM, Apex had the highest level of service, integrity and world-class customer service.
Dave resides in Roseville, CA with his lovely wife, their 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Dave and his family love to travel, attend sports events, visit amusement parks around the world and volunteer for charity events/fundraisers that benefit many local charities and organizations like Wounded Warriors, Cancer Foundation, Del Oro High School and SAC Food Locker.
Director of Operations
Rick Kobzeff is Director of Operations. Rick has been with Apex Appraisal since 2012 and along with managing the day-to-day operations, he takes assignments in Northern California as an active In-house appraiser, offering valuable knowledge and a wealth of first-hand experience of the valuation process while performing valuations independently and accurately.
Before joining Apex, Rick had a successful full-time Appraisal business for 9 years. Prior to becoming an appraiser, he spent 25 years in the restaurant industry. Mr. Kobzeff has conducted a large portfolio of valuations and is a respected and trusted professional. He offers his industry experience and his extensive knowledge to clients, appraisers, and staff alike. He is highly sought after for his dynamic and entertaining “Lunch and Learn” series.
Mr. Kobzeff serves on the Sierra College School of Business Real Estate and Mortgage Advisory committee.
Rick’s compassion is for Autism Speaks and is actively volunteering and contributing to this charity. He resides in Roseville, CA with his wife and 3 children. When he’s not busy taking care of his family, he believes the only vacation destination worth going to is Disneyland, and enjoys all things Star Wars.
Carlos Duarte, Ph. D.
Director of Operations
Carlos Duarte, Ph. D. is Director of Operations with Apex Appraisal Service. His career in the banking industry started as a loan officer role. He has worked with several lenders to his final position as a Vice President with Chase in the San Francisco Bay Area.
He is an Active Duty and Reserve Air Force Colonel maintaining his Command Pilot rating. He is currently attached to the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) where a commander of specialized unit. He graduated from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA with a BS in Engineering and minor in computer science, received his MBA from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and Ph. D. from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA.
Highly successful operations management expert with experience serving in critical roles in a variety of incumbencies. Possessing a wide scope of expertise, having led multi-site management efforts for various business modes and locations.
He brings loyalty with a demonstrated ability to deliver highly critical projects within tight schedules and budgets. Professionally dedicated individual with desire to develop innovative solutions that influence operational and strategic decisions, while exceeding customer needs and expectations.
Diverse experience in developing effective business processes, directing complex contract negotiations, and managing program policies and procedures. Able to interact with all levels of personnel and departments to ensure optimum operating efficiencies and performance.
